Nitrogen Production Unit Process

After being compressed through the screw air compressor, the atmosphere air goes to the compressed air processing system which consists of buffer vessel, cooler with scrubber, 3 stage air filter, 1 stage acticarbon oil absorber and heat exchanger. As finished the route above, the dry and clean air with constant temperature heads into membrane to separate nitrogen and oxygen from the gas. The oxygen enriched air will be purged into atmosphere. The separated gas which now is nitrogen with certain purity discharged into booster to have the equivalent pressure according to customer’s need

Main Equipment and Application

Air compressor: Compressing air to membrane driving by diesel engine, with spray lubricating and air cooling system

Compressed air processing system: Compressed air goes into the vessel with a pressure of 350 psig, the scrubber remove the liquid in the air. Then the air will be compressed into cooler and dryerto decrease the temperature down to 50 F(10ºC)or lower. Now the next step is to eliminate all the suspended particle of oil in the air by entering the 2 air filter and fine air filter.

Nitrogen Production and Control System: The separation from nitrogen and oxygen happens in the membrane system. Membranes are almost always parallel connected to each other, and the gas flow after membrane varies directly as the system flow. The NPU contains valves to control the pressure and purity of the air/gas in the system to ensure only pure gas goes to booster and unqualified gas purging out of the system through the discharge valve, or system automatically gives acoustic alarms.

Booster: Reciprocating compressor driving by diesel engine.

Diesel generator: When shutdown external power, it supplies electronic devices, such as apparatus, lighting, air conditioning and engine starter.

Container: It is designed with individual operating room and double monitoring system with all necessary wiring and piping.
